In a wire flame spray gun, the wire is fed into the front torch of flame spray through the turbine which is air driven. Mainly fuel gases like acetylene, LPG, Propene, and oxygen are mixed properly in the siphon plug head assembly which provides a source for combustion.

Arc spray gun uses an electric arc to melt wires. This process is mostly used for heavy coating of metallic on a surface. The molted material is then atomized with the help of compressed air to create a spray stream that is applied on the surface on which coating is needed to form.
